Sylwia Gorak graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Poznań and received her Master of Fine Arts Degree for the diploma project in painting, drawing and performance completed in the studio of Prof. Jarosław Kozłowski. She was a frequent recipient of such scholarships as Pro Helvetia in Switzerland, CECArtsLink in New York or Landeshauptstadt Kulturamt in Düsseldorf. She is also a winner of the 2nd award Young Art Biennale RYBIE OKO 5. Gorak has also created the biggest conceptual sundial in the world (urban art) in Düsseldorf. In 2001 she was a first soprano in the chorus of Paderewski Festival Singers in Carnegie Hall, New York.

The artist co-operates with the former-Yugoslavian countries , participated in 8 important exhibitions in the museums and national galleries in Macedonia, Bosnia And Herzegovina and Serbia. Recently her occupation includesvocal, conceptual and acoustic performances that she presents in various festivals in Poland, Austria, Japan . Owner of 4 octaves vocal range.

Artworks in private collections in Poland and abroad, Gorak co-operates with the French art-culture magazine Clam Mag in Paris.
