Małgorzata Sajna-Mataczyńska
She graduated with distinction from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the piano class of Professor Alicja Kledzik. She holds a postdoctoral degree (Doctor Habilitatus) in musical arts and works at the Department of Piano at her alma mater.
The artist has won numerous national and international competitions. She was a member of the Polish team at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2000. She has participated in many prestigious music festivals in Poland and abroad, including Warsaw, Duszniki-Zdrój, Słupsk, and Bern. She refined her piano skills under the guidance of outstanding artists such as Andrzej Jasiński, Halina Czerny-Stefańska, Regina Smendzianka, Ewa Pobłocka, and Matti Raekallio. As a chamber pianist, she has collaborated with many distinguished musicians, including Jakub Haufa, Marzena Michałowska, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Ewa Guzowska, Michał Sikorski, and Daniel Altmann.
Her most notable phonographic achievements include albums featuring works by Fryderyk Chopin, such as Fantasia and Chopin & Viola.
Since 2023, she has served as the Artistic Director of the Paderewski Festival.
